Raymond 1998 Napa Reserve Cabernet - $29.99
Rated 92 by the Wine Spectator
"Here’s an outstanding California Cabernet that won’t break the bank and
should be easy to find. Round, with ripe flavors of black currants, cotton
candy, spice and lavish, toasty oak. Solid tannins integrate nicely with
coffee flavors on the finish. Best from 2001 through 2009. 30,000 cases made."
No doubt about it....Raymond is in tune with America's palate.
This young Cab was Rich, Smooth, Long Lasting & Enjoyable NOW.

MIRRASOU 1998 PINOT BLANC " White Burgundy " - $9.99
Elegantly Styled with lush fruit in the beginning and
with a passionate kiss of oak on the finish. Delightful.
Caution: Drink it too cold and the oak dominates.
Back in 1961 Mirassou's records indicate that at the winery
"the best loved wine was Pinot Blanc."

Georges Duboeuf -1999 Morgon - Jean Descombes - $11.99
EXPLOSIVE FRUIT - HEDONISTIC
I have never tasted a Beaujolais this Flamboyant. A Huge, Explosive Aroma of Red Raspberries
followed by a Hedonistic Chambord Flavor with a clean, crisp, long finish.

Jean Descombes died in October 1993. The torch was handed down to his daughter,
Nicole Savoye-Descombes who is continuing with the same enthusiasm and competence
true to her father's tradition in the Cave of Jean Ernest Descombes.
Her philosophy can be summarized in these few words:
"I love my job, wine..... it's my life."
